Pet of the Week: Motie the Guinea Pig!

Motie is a female, four-year-old, calico guinea pig. Like most guinea pigs, she can be a very shy pet. However, she will become more and more comfortable around you as you get to know her and she gets to know you. Guinea pigs are very easily startled, so you will want to be careful not to make any quick movements around her. Motie will need to be fed fresh vegetables, high-quality grass hay and fresh cold water every day to keep her healthy. Also, guinea pigs need Vitamin C daily to prevent scurvy. Much like any other pet, Motie needs an owner who is willing to take the time to learn more about her needs.
