Random Musings - Vacation
My frequently blogging pal Amber asked me yesterday what I was going to be doing on my upcoming vacation, and when I told her she sniggered, in her friendly but uniquely Amber way, which, this time was to say, “Uhh…why?”
You see, Amber’s last vacation, which she rhapsodized at length about, was a Sting concert, where she stood, in a stadium, scrunched, hip to elbow with other Police fans.
But, Police fans not withstanding, I’m very sure that the “Stingster” delivered some very impressive environmental noodling eventually, and so I present the following Alaskan picture for Amber, to enjoy along with Sting’s next ambient noise CD. (Okay, I love Sting too, FYI).

Sting? Oh no, my dear "Country Mouse" Devan... this was the entire line-up of the POLICE, touring for the first time since the mid-80's!
I know how you love to get away and float down the rivers and creeks. I myself generally car-camp once or twice a year, and I like to take roadtrips, so I think I can appreciate you love for nature... a little, anyway. ;)
That's a beautiful picture. Tell you what: I'll take a copy of it to look at next time I fly down for a show.
By the way, you probably know that Wood Tikchik is the second-largest state park in the country? Listen to AK-411 during my 4:00 hour and you can learn all kinds of things!
Love,
"City Mouse" Amber
